A busy November!

Turkey Day hasn't even arrived and already it's been a very full
month in the Stark house! Dad celebrated his 31st Birthday,
Donovan continues to have visitors regularly and the family has
started going on all kinds of excursions around (and outside of)
town. The little man continues to amaze and entertain us each
day and he just keeps on GROWING. I think he's near 15 lbs.
already!

Donovan is a BIG one month old boy!

We went in for our 1 month check-up with Donovan's Doc,

and the little man is growing like crazy! He's gained 4 pounds

in one month and is now just a shade under 12 lbs. The little

dude likes to EAT, just like his mom and dad. :-)

Everything else looked great and we have a healthy little man

that is bringing us so much joy.

The little dude is 1 week old!

Donovan has had a steady stream of visitors over the past week

and is loving every minute of it! He's doing great and is even

allowing mommy to sleep a little bit more at night...life is good!

The best day of our lives!

On Tuesday, October 7th, Donovan Jensen Stark decided

he was ready to join the world and our lives and made his

grand entrance at 6:22a.m. Weighing 7 lbs., 15 oz. and

measuring 19 1/2", he started out his life as a perfectly

healthy little guy.

Mommy Amber was amazing and everything went

about as well as you could ever ask. We're both so happy

and thankful for a happy, healthy boy.

Donovan has had lots of visitors already and loves being

held by his new family and friends. Nana Peggy and Papa Ed

were incredible as well and helped us out SO much when we

came back home. We're so thankful for everything!

Life is good!

Ready to pop!

Well, the due date of Oct. 2nd is almost here! We're anxiously

awaiting the arrival of baby Brooke or Donovan and both Amber

and I are ready for the Big Day to come. Amber has been busy

finishing up things around the house while I'm getting things

squared away at work and waiting for the big call each day.

We're walking the local hills in the evenings and trying to

convince the baby to make it's move.

The wait continues... :-)

Showered with love!

Many of you attended the baby shower last weekend (much appreciated) to show some love for Amber and soon-to-be baby Stark. It was a GREAT turnout and you were all so generous. We now have a room STUFFED with baby gear....the little guy or girl is going to be completely spoiled. :-)

A little R&R before the baby comes...

Amber and I were contemplating going to Belize for a little

Spring Break relaxationthis year, but decided instead to go

to Zihuatanejo, Mexico (yes, of 'Shawshank' (sp?) fame)

due to a limited time-frame. We couldn't have been happier

with our choice as a destination to simply 'veg' for 4 glorious

days. We stayed at an OUTSTANDING little hotel called the

Cinco Sentidos (there are 5 little villas, each with their own 'feel'):

Our trip pretty much consisted of going to bed (relatively)

early, waking up late to eat breakfast on our private patio

overlooking the ocean, moving out to the infinity pool right

next door for some reading, having lunch and a swim on

the beach, returning to the pool, out to dinner (on the

beach, again), and back to our private patio before crashing.

Repeat for 4 more days, and there you have it! What a

great trip...highly recommended for a couples retreat.
