Donovan is ONE, Halloween, and more...

It's been way too long since we updated the blog. As usual,
we've been busy with the little dude, work, life, etc.
Hard to believe Donovan is already 1!!! We had a great
b-day party with friends and family and got to dress
Donovan up for the first time for Halloween this month.
Good times!

July & Aug 09

We're having a great summer. We are enjoying all

of our free days spending time at the beach, we made

a trip to Santa Barbara and have had fun visits with friends

and family. Of course we've also squeezed a few house

projects in. Hope everyone is doing well. Click on the

Summertime!

It's been awhile since our last update. Life has been good.
We are in summer mode now since Joey is on break. Donovan
is almost 9 months old and doing new things every day. He does the
commando tummy crawl and is saying "mama". The weather has
been great and we're enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.

Back on the charts!!

Time continues to fly...Donovan is now over 6 months old and
still surprises us with new accomplishments every single day.
We've had a busy and fun couple of months. Some highlights
include a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Martin, a trip to
Morro Bay to visit Nana and Papa Paradis, cousin Andrew's
birthday party at Disney, visiting Connie, Kelly, Mike, and
the twins, hiking at Torrey Pines and La Jolla, a visit from
Aunt Julie and cousin Erik...too much fun stuff to remember!
Oh, and Donovan is actually back 'on' the charts for size for
the first time since about 1 month. He's now in the 95th
percentile for both height and weight.
Our big boy is apparently 'stretching' out now. :-)

Rolling and scooting

Do Donovan and his Daddy look at all alike? Great Grandma
Marian came across the photo on the right and sent it to us
recently. Thanks Great Grandma!
Over the past month, Donovan has been busy learning how
to roll over and now we find him on his belly in bed all
throughout the night, as apparently he can't get enough
'practice'. :-) He's also scooting all over the house in cousin
Andrew's old walker and jumping around in his bouncer. His
Mommy took him on his first trip actually sitting upright in
the grocery cart this week (too cool) and on his first trip
to the Wild Animal Park with his friends. He continues to
amaze us and entertain us every single day. It's hard to
believe he's already over 5 months old, even though he's
about the size of a one year old!
Amber is back at work now, working ALL day Sat/Sun, so
Joey gets lots of Donovan time on the weekends to make
up for his weekdays at work. We both love our time with him
more than anything.
Life is good...

January '09

We've been busy over the past month, but are enjoying
every minute and having some great experiences.

Donovan continues growing like crazy and is "Oh-ing" and

"Ah-ing" constantly as he learns his own voice. Good times!

Random Holiday Fun!

It was a good holiday season, as usual. Donovan scored the hugs
AND the gifts and we got to visit tons of friends and family.

Baby's first Thanksgiving and other fun stuff...

We've been pretty busy over the past month + and the little
big guy has been enjoying all of the family and friends he's been
able to visit with. He had his first Thanksgiving up and Grandma
and Grandpa Martins' house and an early Xmas celebration up
at John and Allyson's. More Christmas pics will be up soon, but
